Kalamazoo's Debra Romer owned the judges on America's Got Talent tonight with her cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams". The young lady Sharon Osbourne doubted for lack of confidence had the audience in her pocket with this performance. Afterward, Sharon called her vulnerable but sexy. Who does that sound like?
From Debra's Facebook:
I tend to write songs about life experiences or things I would like to happen. I own a Gibson Songwriter guitar and it took me FOREVER to save for, but totally worth the money. Honestly I'm just waiting for my big moment to happen.
Um, hello, big moment? Meet Debra.
VOTE for Debra if you enjoyed the performance. Results revealed tomorrow night on AGT. Check local listings. Read her bio here which lists Alanis Morissette as one of her musical inspirations. I hear the Morissette influence in her Dreams cover. Debra sounds like a sweetheart who has not had an easy ride. And she owns a Doberman named Mona. Win.
And here she is sanding the rough off of Amy Winehouse. I do indeed like this.
