Rumour has it that Fleetwood Mac is on the bill for the Glastonbury Festival this year, incorporating the appearance into their 2009 Tour schedule. Though still listed as a 'weak rumour' on the line-up page of Glastonbury2009.info,
Festival sources report Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks and company will be playing on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset.
Confirmed for that Saturday are Bruce Springsteen, Kissmet, Franz Ferdinand and The Artic Monkeys. Fleetwood Mac is still listed on the "unknown day" tab in the "line-ups and rumours" page. The site uses frames, so unable to hyperlink here.
Glastonbury tickets are sold out, but a second release of a limited number of cancelled tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. on April 5, 2009. You must have registered beforehand by March 31st to be eligible to buy a ticket. Only a small number of tickets will likely be available and they are reportedly priced at £175 (plus a booking fee of £5). More info on these ticket purchases here.
Could this festival appearance indicate a leg of UK Unleashed Tour dates? You wouldn't fly across the pond for just one show, even if it is Glastonbury, would you??
